Maria is a PhD student (dissertator) in the lab of Ava J. Udvadia at University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, Milwaukee, USA, investigating the genetic and environmental factors that contribute to developmental birth defects and disorders, particularly those that impact the formation of the skeletal elements in the head.
